Trip to Gardenia Factory
Written @ 00:48
Montessori Ilham is very fortunate to be able to visit the famous Gardenia Factory! We were informed that the factory is very popular among schools and it's always fully booked. So hooray to us and we were so happy to bring the kids! We kicked start our day by grouping our kids with their assigned teachers and got on the bus as early as 8am! We couldn't wait any longer as we were too excited, so off we went! The journey took about 45 minutes, traffic-free and we reached there on time.

Entering the gates of Gardenia, the smell of freshly-baked bread hit us at the right spot and we couldn't wait to get inside the factory. We were greeted by two ladies who were our guides for the day. AND.. this billboard right here!

Shortly after gathering everyone, we were ushered into a projector room where we were shown a video of Gardenia history and brief introduction of the procedure.

Once the video was over, it was time to really see the real deal! We were going inside THE place where all the yummy magic bread are made. Unfortunately, we were not allowed to take any photos and videos for security and safety purposes. However, as we walked along around the factory, Aunty Ice who was our guide for the day, was explaining to us every little bit of the process. Did you know that Gardenia produce 800,000 loaves per day? WOW!

As we walked around and got a lil bit hungry, we were served with freshly-baked bread before we left the factory. Yummy chocolate waffles!

Last but not least, our trip was completed with a whole goodie bag of bread goodness! Look at the happy faces receiving goodies from the uncle :)

As the time approached noon, we had lunch at KFC before we headed back to school. Bread in the morning, chicken in the afternoon! Yum yyumm...think our kids really had happy tummy on that day! :)

Thank you Gardenia Factory for having us! We would love to come again!! Till then!
