Yes Smile  It’s time for our fun holiday camp again.

Monday 3/6/13 – Cooking Class

Tiny Teddy Cars

Ingredients : Milky bars chocolates, melted milk chocolate, Smarties, Teddy Biscuits.
Glue the Smarties onto each side of the chocolate bar using melted milk chocolate. Cut a smarties into half and stick it onto the front of the chocolate bar as the steering wheel with the melted chocolate. Cut the Tiny Teddy biscuit in half and stick it onto the top of the chocolate bar with melted chocolate.

Mini Square Burgers

Ingredients : Burgers buns, patty, mayonnaise, tomato sauce, tomatoes, salad.
Cook the patty on a flat pan. Spread mayonnaise on both burger buns. Take one burger bun as the base, put the salad and tomatoes on the bun. Put the patty on top of the salad, spread tomato sauce on the patty. Place the other bun on top to complete the burger.

Sundae cone craft

Ingredients : Salt dough, paper cup, paint, cotton balls, sprinkles, pom-pom
Firstly paint the paper cup and leave it to dry. Then roll up some old newspaper and place them in the cup. Roll a ball of green dough to place on top of the ice cream cone to make the first flavor and then roll the pink dough and place on top of the green dough as the second flavor. Brush glue all over the dough and place some sprinkles and a pom-pom on top.

Ingredients: Paper plate, Glue, Sponge (as the bread) Green Crepe paper (as salad), Red foam (as tomato) Yellow foam (as egg yolk) and White foam (as  egg white).
Paint the side of the sponge (bread) brown. Glue the egg yolk onto the egg white to make a sunny side up egg. Place a piece of the bread on the plate and glue on the green salad, the red tomatoes and also the sunny side up egg. Then place the second piece of bread on top to complete the breakfast plate.

Blow Up a Balloon with Yeast

Ingredients : 1 packet of yeast, 1 cup of warn water. 2 tablespoons of sugar, a large balloon,
and an empty water bottle. Stretch out the balloon and leave it aside. Mix the yeast and sugar with water in the bottle. Place the balloon onto the mouth of the bottle (teacher may help). Shake the bottle and the mixture inside will start to bubble producing carbon dioxide. Eventually the gas will inflate the balloons.

Coke & Mentos Geysers

Ingredients: a roll of mint Mentos, a bottle of Coke or Diet Coke.
At the garden, open a bottle of Coke and place it on the ground. Drop 4 – 6 Mentos into the bottle and move away. Watch the Mentos react with the Coke in the bottle and erupt into a Geyser spray.
After the experiment, all the children were given a drawing of the Geyser spray to color.
