Tuesday 25th June 2013 – We stayed indoors as the air quality outside was unsuitable for any outdoor activities. Teacher Ilham directed this activity to teach our children the importance of taking care of our earth and what we should do to help protect our earth.
Activity : The children stamp their handprints on an old lamp shade – a promise to lend a hand to help take care of the earth. This poem was written next to the picture of our earth
Our Earth
E arth is excellent
A nd with many plants
R ound and round it goes
T he earth is dying
H elp it now!
Ideas to help care for our earth
1. Throw rubbish into the waste paper basket and not on the roadside
2. Re use a piece of paper
3. Grow more plants
4. Collect dead leaves in a plastic bag and do not burn them at the playground.
5. Turn off the water tap after washing our hands.
